April’s Newsletter

Tim’s mom spent Spring Break with us here in Texas and we had such a great time. I had to work part of the week, so Tim took Mrs. Mann on a campus tour, the Bush Library and showed her around town. Then on Thursday and Friday (when my spring break started) we went to San Antonio! San Antonio is one of the coolest cities I have ever been too! The Alamo was really neat and right in the middle of downtown! The river walk was really pretty! And the city over all was just so fascinating! (There was so much to do and see! I am actually going back at the end of April for work! ) It was so good having Mrs. Mann here, we had so much fun. Tim and I welcome anyone to come and visit! We have a futon! I also discovered a Masters program that I am really interested in! It is a Masters in Public Health (with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health). It is through the School of Rural Public Health at the Texas A&M Health Science Center (it is not TAMU, but it is in College Station). I’ve researched it a lot and the program is very friendly to full time professionals. They offer evening classes and even some weekend classes! It looks and sounds perfect for me. I also spoke to the recruiter and he said I should have no problem getting in… I really hope so! Please pray for me! I hope to have my application complete my May 1. If I get accepted, I will be starting in the fall and taking only one class- to get my feet wet. Other than that, Tim and I did our taxes and we are thankful next year with be easier (no NY state tax and 20 different w-2!! I had a lot of jobs in 2007!). I hope you all like our new blog!
