Earlier today Timothy sent me a message saying he wanted to have a picnic at the beach for dinner. I made a salad and packed some hummus and crackers. Once Timothy got home from work, we were off to Hof Carmel. The beach is only a 20 minute bus ride away, which is really nice. Once we got to the beach we sat on a grassy outdoor auditorium where we had a perfect view of the water and the sun setting.
The food was good, the company was great, and the view was beautiful.
Israel definitely has its perks.
Tim and I had a great 3 year wedding anniversary! We had a week long celebration that included: Aggie Baseball, several nights out to the movies, a romantic dinner, special desserts, and a trip to the zoo! 🙂
We are excited to see where the next 30 years takes us!
I also had a good first week as a full time graduate student!
We hope you all are doing well and that you have a great summer!!!
Take care, Laura
Travel: On Sunday we began our journey. Tim’s flight left without a hitch to Richmond, but my flights were not so lucky. My flight to DC (then Syracuse) was cancelled. After trying to figure out how to get home the ticket lady was able to book me on a flight to Charlotte, NC- then to Richmond, VA, then to Philly then to Syracuse!
When I got to Richmond, my flight to Philly was delayed, then cancelled. Luckily, Jon had gotten to the airport to pick up Tim a few mins before. I was unable to get a flight until Christmas Eve to NY. Thankfully I was in Richmond and was able to go to the Mann’s house. Later that night I was then able to get a flight for Tuesday! So, now I’m finally home.
I had a really good time in VA with the Mann’s! And now I’m having a good time with my family. Now hopefully going home will be a little easier.
I hope you are having a great holiday with your families!
Take care, Laura
